Founded in January of 2005, Baltimore Foodies has become one of the premier dining groups in Baltimore. Known for having dinner parties, rather than wine dinners, and having everyone seated at a communal table, Lars Rusins, founder of Baltimore Foodies, has brought some fun back to dining out.
The reputation of Baltimore Foodies and its founder has grown greatly in the last year and a half. Lars has been interviewed by or written about in Style Magazine, Baltimore Magazine and the Baltimore Sun. WMAR and FOX45 TV have also done pieces on Baltimore Foodies. Lars is also a regular contributor to Baltimore Eats, writing the “In the Kitchen” feature each month.

Founded in early 2005, by Chef Damon Hersh, the Fraternite Gastronomique, “the Frat,” is a de facto organization of talented cooks, sous chefs, and head chefs. The Frat provides a strong nurturing ground for growth both in the culinary arts, but also in the development of the individual careers of its members.
A focus of this group is to give back and teach the responsibility of charity and self-sacrifice. The Frat’s goal is to find like minded culinary professionals who are willing to give for their art in order to create a vibrant and growing culinary and social community in Baltimore.
